No fishing trip to St. Lucie County can be considered complete without a visit to South Jetty Park on the south side of Fort Pierce Inlet at the end of Seaway Drive. The old-time tradition of pier fishing is alive and well at this surprisingly long 1,200-foot fishing jetty. Plus, public restrooms, ample oceanfront and other amenities make it a great place to spend a day with the family.
Other piers in the county include the South Bridge Catwalk and the Fort Pierce Jetty in Fort Pierce, Bear Point, Wildcat Cove, Vitolo Family Park and the pier at Lyngate Park in Port St. Lucie. In addition, there are a few mosquito impoundment areas that are great for crabbing.
